World Nature Conservation Day Observed with Great Enthusiasm at Bargarh Town Bargarh, 28 July 2026: On the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day, St. Peter English Medium School, Barikhajuri, Garhwa, Jharkhand, organised a meaningful and inspiring environmental awareness programme in Bargarh town under the guidance of the Principal, teachers, and school management. The programme began with a grand awareness rally in which a large number of students and teachers participated carrying placards and banners with messages such as “Save Nature, Save Life”, “Plant Trees, Protect Future”, and “Reduce Plastic, Preserve Earth.” The rally passed through the main streets of Bargarh town and attracted the attention of the local people. A street play (nukkad natak) was presented by the students highlighting the harmful effects of deforestation, pollution, and excessive use of plastic, and emphasizing the importance of protecting forests, water, and wildlife. The performance was highly appreciated by the public. The programme was further enriched by speeches delivered by dignitaries, teachers, and students. They stressed that nature is God’s precious gift and every citizen has a moral responsibility to conserve it for future generations. They also encouraged people to adopt eco-friendly habits and participate actively in environmental protection. As a symbol of commitment to a greener future, the school organised a plant distribution programme, during which saplings were distributed among the public, students, and local residents. The participants were encouraged to plant and care for the saplings in their homes and surroundings. *Special Session on Health and Hygiene for High School Girls* A special awareness session on *"Health and* *Hygiene*" was conducted for the girls of the High School section by *Nurse Lusy*. The session focused on the importance of maintaining personal hygiene, adopting healthy habits, understanding adolescent health, and promoting overall physical and emotional well-being. Nurse Lusy shared practical guidance on personal cleanliness, menstrual hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and the importance of seeking timely medical advice whenever needed.
