St. Peter English Medium School, Barikhajuri, joyfully welcomed its youngest learners as the Nursery classes for the academic year 2026–2027 commenced on April 13, 2026. The campus was filled with excitement and warmth as tiny tots stepped into the school environment for the very first time.


To mark this special occasion, the entire school community extended a heartfelt welcome to the new students. The little ones were received with flowers and cheerful greetings, creating a comforting and festive atmosphere for both children and their parents.


The classrooms were beautifully decorated with colorful balloons, streamers, and learning materials, making them lively and child-friendly. The vibrant decorations helped ease the children into their new surroundings and made their first day memorable.


The Nursery Class Teacher, Ms. Ashishta Toppo, warmly welcomed the students and parents and ensured a smooth and joyful beginning to their school journey. The event was graced by the presence of Principal Fr. Martin Joseph, Staff Coordinator Sr. Seema, Nursery Teacher Ms. Meena, and all KG class teachers, who collectively supported and encouraged the children.

School welcomes Fr Kevin Prem as new leader

St. Peter English Medium School, Barikhajuri, warmly welcomed its newly appointed Principal Designate, Fr. Kevin Prem CMF, into the school family on April 9, 2026.


The programme began with an introductory session where Fr. Kevin Prem was formally introduced and welcomed to the staff members. The occasion provided an opportunity for the staff to interact with the new Principal Designate and extend their greetings. Later, Fr. Kevin Prem was officially introduced to the students during the school assembly. The gathering marked a significant moment as the entire school community came together to welcome their new leader.


The current Principal, Fr. Martin Joseph, extended a warm welcome by presenting a bouquet to Fr. Kevin Prem as a gesture of goodwill and respect. The Manager, Fr. Regi, formally introduced Fr. Kevin Prem to the school family, highlighting his role and responsibilities as the new Principal Designate.

St. Peter English Medium School, Barikhajuri, organized a one-day Teachers’ Training Programme on April 8, 2026, focusing on strengthening teachers’ classroom effectiveness through practical and impactful teaching techniques. The training session was conducted by Dr. Lison Varghese , former Principal of Labour India College, who served as the resource person. Drawing from his rich experience in the field of education, Dr. Varghese led an engaging and insightful session for the teachers.


The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Principal Fr. Martin Joseph, who greeted the resource person and appreciated the participation of all teachers. The session was also graced by Manager Fr. Regi and Administrator Fr. Jojappa, whose presence encouraged the staff.


The main focus of the training was on practical strategies that can be directly applied in the classroom. Dr. Lison Varghese emphasized:

  • - Memory enhancement strategies
  • - Concentration-building methods for students

The match was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Rev. Sr. Seema, whose presence inspired and motivated the players. Both teams displayed excellent teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the game.

After a close and exciting contest, Gandhi-Yellow House emerged victorious with a narrow 1–0 win over Naidu-Red House. The decisive goal showcased impressive coordination and skill from the Naidu House players.

The event was graced by Br. Anzil Thomas as the chief guest, who commended both teams for their excellent teamwork and fighting spirit. The game remained goalless during regular time, showcasing the defensive strength and determination of both sides.
