St. Peter English Medium School, Barikhajuri, joyfully welcomed its youngest learners as the Nursery classes for the academic year 2026–2027 commenced on April 13, 2026. The campus was filled with excitement and warmth as tiny tots stepped into the school environment for the very first time.
To mark this special occasion, the entire school community extended a heartfelt welcome to the new students. The little ones were received with flowers and cheerful greetings, creating a comforting and festive atmosphere for both children and their parents.
The classrooms were beautifully decorated with colorful balloons, streamers, and learning materials, making them lively and child-friendly. The vibrant decorations helped ease the children into their new surroundings and made their first day memorable.
The Nursery Class Teacher, Ms. Ashishta Toppo, warmly welcomed the students and parents and ensured a smooth and joyful beginning to their school journey. The event was graced by the presence of Principal Fr. Martin Joseph, Staff Coordinator Sr. Seema, Nursery Teacher Ms. Meena, and all KG class teachers, who collectively supported and encouraged the children.

School welcomes Fr Kevin Prem as new leader
St. Peter English Medium School, Barikhajuri, warmly welcomed its newly appointed Principal Designate, Fr. Kevin Prem CMF, into the school family on April 9, 2026.
The programme began with an introductory session where Fr. Kevin Prem was formally introduced and welcomed to the staff members. The occasion provided an opportunity for the staff to interact with the new Principal Designate and extend their greetings. Later, Fr. Kevin Prem was officially introduced to the students during the school assembly. The gathering marked a significant moment as the entire school community came together to welcome their new leader.
The current Principal, Fr. Martin Joseph, extended a warm welcome by presenting a bouquet to Fr. Kevin Prem as a gesture of goodwill and respect. The Manager, Fr. Regi, formally introduced Fr. Kevin Prem to the school family, highlighting his role and responsibilities as the new Principal Designate.

Teachers trained in classroom skills and focus
St. Peter English Medium School, Barikhajuri, organized a one-day Teachers’ Training Programme on April 8, 2026, focusing on strengthening teachers’ classroom effectiveness through practical and impactful teaching techniques. The training session was conducted by Dr. Lison Varghese , former Principal of Labour India College, who served as the resource person. Drawing from his rich experience in the field of education, Dr. Varghese led an engaging and insightful session for the teachers.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome by Principal Fr. Martin Joseph, who greeted the resource person and appreciated the participation of all teachers. The session was also graced by Manager Fr. Regi and Administrator Fr. Jojappa, whose presence encouraged the staff.

Gandhi House girls triumph in thrilling match!
Today, 15th October 2025, the third match of the ongoing St. Peter Cup 2025 and the second girls’ match took place between Naidu House (Red) and Gandhi House (Yellow).
The match was graced by our esteemed Chief Guest, Rev. Sr. Seema, whose presence inspired and motivated the players. Both teams displayed excellent teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the game.
After a close and exciting contest, Gandhi-Yellow House emerged victorious with a narrow 1–0 win over Naidu-Red House. The decisive goal showcased impressive coordination and skill from the Naidu House players.
The atmosphere was filled with cheers and enthusiasm as students supported their houses passionately. Congratulations to Gandhi House for their well-deserved win and to Naidu House for their commendable performance.

The fourth match of the St. Peter Cup 2025 and the second match of the boys’ category was played today, 15th October 2025, between Kalam House (Blue) and Naidu House (Red). The match turned out to be one of the most thrilling encounters of the tournament.
The event was graced by Br. Anzil Thomas as the chief guest, who commended both teams for their excellent teamwork and fighting spirit. The game remained goalless during regular time, showcasing the defensive strength and determination of both sides.
The excitement reached its peak in the penalty shootout, where Naidu House (Red) secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Kalam House (Blue). The tight contest kept the audience fully engaged till the final whistle.

The excitement of the St. Peter’s Cup 2025 continued today with the second match of the tournament, held on October 14, 2025. The school ground buzzed with cheers as the girls’ football teams took to the field, showcasing exceptional energy and sportsmanship.
The match was graced by Rev. Fr. Seru Sagar, CMF, who served as the Chief Guest for the day. His presence and encouraging words inspired the players to give their best and play with true team spirit and discipline.
In today’s thrilling encounter, Kalam House (Blue) faced off against Theresa House (Green). Both teams displayed outstanding skills and determination, making the match one of the most exciting games of the tournament so far. The match concluded dramatically with a penalty shootout, where Kalam House emerged victorious after a closely fought contest.
